Teen Thursday on Friday

Another week has passed and there is more YA news to celebrate. Life is good! Today we are taking a look at upcoming films being made from some of our favorite YA titles.

Here is news hot off the presses about the not so big screen. According to Publishers Weekly, “The Fox Network has ordered a pilot based on Lauren Oliver’s popular Delirium trilogy, just ahead of the March 5 release of book three, Requiem (Harper). Writer/executive producer Karyn Usher (Prison Break) wrote the pilot that was approved, and The Mazur Kaplan Company (as in Mitchell Kaplan of Books & Books) is executive producing along with Chernin Entertainment and Twentieth Television.” To read Publishers Weekly’s full article CLICK HERE. Just in time for Valentine’s Day Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl’s masterpiece, Beautiful Creatures, is hitting the big screen. “A love story set in an enigmatic Southern town, warring magical sects, and a powerful legacy that will determine a teen’s destiny: could it be the recipe for the next YA series-turned-movie blockbuster? The Warner Brothers/Alcon Entertainment film, based on the first book in the Caster Chronicles by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, is headed to the big screen on February 14.” CLICK HERE to read Publishers Weekly’s full article.
